Kootenay Lakeview Retreats is a suite of elegant luxury cabins located near Nakusp, BC. The owner came to us to create a logo & website that capture the stunning mountainous landscape and provide a premium booking experience.
The Journey
The Background
Our client came to us looking for a site he could use as an alternative to Airbnb. He wanted to be able to offer his own bookings and showcase his beautiful properties with more depth and charisma. He requested multiple galleries in a variety of formats and custom icons to show off the features of each property.
The Challenge
We started with the logo design and came up with a logo that represents the immersion into nature his guests experience. We then used this colour scheme and style to design a website with numerous galleries, helpful FAQs, integration with his Guesty booking platform and a custom designed map.
Our Solution
The owner has a beautiful website due in large part to his stunning photography and clear vision for how the site should look and feel. Our collaborative copywriting helped to describe the properties and area in stunning detail, making the experience vivid. He now has a strong sales site with clear directives for potential guests to book.

Special Features
Custom Logo Design
The owner described his ideal client in our onboarding, and we looked for inspiration to figure out how to attract the correct demographic. Using thoughtful colour and image choices, we created a logo that represents these properties as a true mountain destination.
Guesty Booking Integration
Our client wanted to accept reservations through his existing booking platform. We designed the site so that the booking process feels intuitive and straightforward while pointing to Guesty. Our Calls to Action are written to direct guests to book in with ease.
Emulate Airbnb Functionality
We used Airbnb as inspiration to create landing pages for each of the properties that highlighted their many attractive feature in a user-focused way. Amenities, policies, a plentiful gallery and reviews can all be found in one spot with collapsible menus for ease of use.
