July 30, 2024New Wave Docks, a company creating custom flotation products like docks, ramps, and more came to us to redo and refresh their existing website. Outdated formatting and minimal copy meant they weren't standing out from their competition in the way they wanted to.
The Journey
The Background
New Wave Docks had an existing site but wanted to build it out with their extensive portfolio of images. They had acquired a custom rotational molding machine, creating greater capabilities to serve their clients, and wanted to highlight this to bring in new sales. This meant we needed to expand upon the copy and structure of their existing site.
The Challenge
Their old website had minimal copy, so our copywriter got to work on creating more detailed product descriptions. We also used our SEO tools to ensure that we were capturing key search terms that would drive sales for New Wave. We also wanted to ensure we were displaying their extensive photos in an interesting and intuitive way.
Our Solution
Through creative design motifs, we used New Wave's imagery as often as possible to showcase their various capabilities. The use of multiple sliding galleries and photos in the Call to Action sections are used to help potential customers dream of the options for their dock. Detailed service pages with links to pricing and sales documents makes it easy for new clients to order.

SEO Informed Copy
Using our SEO tools, we determined that we greatly needed to increase the word count on each page. Our copywriter drafted copy using key search terms to ensure that each page is visible to the people who want to find it.
Project Gallery
Instead of just putting their large number of images into a sliding gallery, we structured multiple galleries within the Project Gallery page to really show off the possibilities. This also means clients can look closer at only the services they are most interested in.
Detailed Form
We took an existing PDF form from the client and turned it into an interactive form for clients to fill out directly from the website. This makes it easier for clients who have difficulty navigating external programs like Adobe, thereby decreasing obstacles to sales.
